Roma to make Destro offer

Although heavily linked with a return to Inter, Mattia Destro is reportedly a serious transfer target for Roma.

Siena striker Destro, co-owned with Genoa, is expected to move on to a bigger club in the summer after scoring 12 League goals this term.

The Nerazzurri were understood to be in pole position for a player they sacrificed in January 2011 in order to net Andrea Ranocchia from the Marassi outfit.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Roma are understood to have made Siena an offer of around €7m for their half-share in the Under-21 international.

Destro was rewarded for his efforts this term with a surprise call-up to Italy’s 32-man Euro 2012 squad.
