Angelo Ogbonna has admitted that he’s unlikely to spend the rest of his career with Serie A new boys Torino.
Ogbonna is one of Italy’s most promising defenders and his name has been linked with the likes of Napoli, Milan and Juventus.
“Boss Giampiero Ventura convinced me to stay in the summer,” the stopper told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I’m a young player and I thus can not promise to remain here for eternity, but staying at Torino to play in Serie A next season wouldn’t be a second choice option for me.”
Torino were promoted yesterday, but Ogbonna’s season is not over after he was one of the 32 players named in Cesare Prandelli’s Euro 2012 long-list.
“I’ll work so hard to convince Prandelli to name me in the final 23-man squad,” he added.
The 24-year-old has made two appearances for Italy under Prandelli so far.
