The 43-year-old has signed a two-year contract which will reportedly earn him €300,000 a year.

Mihajlovic has also had coaching spells at Bologna and Catania in Italy. He turned down the opportunity to become Inter boss last summer.

The Serbian was dismissed by the Viola in November and was replaced by Delio Rossi. The latter was sacked himself earlier this month.
