As expected, former Fiorentina boss Sinisa Mihajlovic has been named as the new national Coach of Serbia.
The former Lazio and Inter defender was in pole position to be confirmed as Vladimir Petrovic’s successor after their dismal Euro 2012 qualifying campaign.
The 43-year-old has signed a two-year contract which will reportedly earn him €300,000 a year.
Mihajlovic has also had coaching spells at Bologna and Catania in Italy. He turned down the opportunity to become Inter boss last summer.
The Serbian was dismissed by the Viola in November and was replaced by Delio Rossi. The latter was sacked himself earlier this month.
