Pescara are optimistic that they can keep hold of Zdenek Zeman, but they’ve admitted that Delio Rossi could be a good replacement.
Zeman is set to hold talks with Roma this week about succeeding Luis Enrique in the Italian capital after leading the Serie B side to promotion.
“I’m optimistic by nature and I’m sure that Zeman will stay here with us,” President Daniele Sebastiani told Radio Goal.
“Right now, I’m not thinking about his possible departure. If that happens then obviously we would make a move.”
Reports on Monday were claiming that Rossi could be a contender to get the job should it become available.
“Rossi has the kind of characteristics to substitute Zeman, but I’ll underline that we haven’t spoken to anyone.”
Rossi is currently serving a three-month ban after his touchline brawl with Adem Ljajic which resulted in his dismissal at Fiorentina in May.
