Torino President Urbano Cairo has acknowledged that he’ll need to bring in a handful of reinforcements following promotion.

Toro will be back in Serie A next season and the objective will be to survive in the Italian top flight under boss Giampiero Ventura.

“This has been a triumphant season for us in which everything has gone well,” the Granata chief told Radio Anch’Io lo Sport.

“We did face some heavy criticism, but we got over that and we were able to reach our objective which was promotion.

“Now Ventura, who we have confirmed, will evaluate our present squad with sporting director Gianluca Petrachi.

“We will need more quality in Serie A. The backbone of the team will remain, but we’ll need at least four or five new signings.”

The club also aim to keep a hold of Italian international Angelo Ogbonna.
