Massimo Cellino has reiterated that Massimo Ficcadenti will remain as Cagliari boss for 2012-13. “Why is there any doubt?”

Ficcadenti took charge of Cagliari last August after keeping Cesena in the top flight, but was sacked on November 8. He was re-appointed in March.

“Will Ficcadenti stay? Of course, what type of question is that…” Cellino told the Corriere dello Sport.

“I do not need to confirm him in his position because he is already our Coach. I don’t see where there should be any doubts over him.”

Cagliari finished in 15th place this term, just seven points above the relegation zone.

Cellino also confirmed that the club will not be playing their home games at the Stadio Sant’Elia as their row with the local council continues.

“We’ll designate Trieste as our home stadium in the hope of having the stadium in Quartu ready as soon as possible.”

Trieste is in north-east Italy, while Quartu is in the province of Cagliari.
