Brazilian midfielder Ederson is in hot demand in his home country, but as his agent reiterates, the player still wants Lazio.
The 26-year-old attack-minded footballer leaves French side Lyon this summer after running down his contract and rejecting offers of a new one.
Lazio have been tracking the former Internacional man since the turn of the year and were widely expected to have already confirmed a deal for the No 10.
The player’s agent has suggested that the Aquile are currently distracted, but despite reported interest from other parties, he maintains that the sought-after footballer will still end up at the Olimpico outfit.
“In Brazil they all want him,” warned Antonio Caliendo to Sportal.it.
“Palmeiras, Santos, Porto Alegre, they’ve all asked about him. Do not forget that in two years there will be a World Cup and he is a national team player, so it is normal that clubs are on his trail.
“Right now, Lazio are focused on their choice as new Coach. After that, we will hear from them.
“The player needs to pick up an Italian passport to be ready, he is currently on holiday in Brazil, but yes. His willingness to go is still the same.”
