The agent of Douglas Maicon has cast doubt over his future at Inter. “He could extend his contract or leave.”
The Brazilian is only contracted to the San Siro giants until June 2013 which means he will be available on a Bosman next summer should he not agree new terms.
“We’re waiting to be contacted by the Inter officials about a contract renewal, but at the same time we’re thinking about an exit,” Mario Rosi told FC Inter News.
Paris Saint-Germain are being linked with the former Monaco man and a switch to France is a possible option.
“Paris SG are a club that count in Europe and he knows a host of people over there like Carlo Ancelotti, Leonardo and Maxwell.
“For now, that is just speculation, and negotiations would take some time as Inter would need to find a replacement for Maicon first – that is not easy.”
The 30-year-old has an injury affected campaign which limited him to just two goals in 24 League games for the Beneamata.
