It’s reported Gonzalo Higuain’s move to Juventus is back on after the Real Madrid man’s father visited Turin for talks.
Last week it seemed as if the negotiations had collapsed when Higuain stated he wanted only to remain at Real Madrid next season.
However, according to Spanish newspaper Sport, the Argentine has refused the contract renewal proposed to him by the Merengues.
It is suggested Higuain sent his father to Turin for negotiations with the Juventus directors over the last few days.
However, Jose Mourinho is eager to keep hold of Higuain for next season, according to agent Norberto Recasens.
“Mourinho said: ‘Stay and we’ll win the Champions League together.’ He did not guarantee a starting spot, but reassured him on the fact he’ll be treated on a par with Karim Benzema.”
