Italian newspapers suggest a €30m bidding war will break out between Inter and Napoli for Fiorentina talent Stevan Jovetic.
Up until now the club has been adamant it will not sell the Montenegro star, but it’s reported in the Corriere dello Sport today that he is looking for a step up in his career.
Jovetic lost all of the 2010-11 season to injury after undergoing several knee operations, but is now back to full fitness and eager to make his mark in Serie A.
It is rumoured that Fiorentina would be willing to release Jo-Jo for around €30m, sparking a bidding war.
Inter hope to lower the price by including players like Emiliano Viviano, Angelo Palombo and Marco Davide Faraoni in the transfer.
Napoli have made it clear they would love to sign Jovetic, but President Aurelio De Laurentiis would only do so if the Della Valle brothers were in agreement.
They see him as the ideal replacement for Ezequiel Lavezzi, who is on the verge of completing his transfer to PSG for €27.5m plus bonuses.
Fiorentina are still without a Coach for next term, as they are in talks with Vincenzo Montella, who is tied to a contract with Catania.
