Gaetano D’Agostino has told parent club Udinese that he wants to remain with Serie A minnows Siena.
“I have the maximum respect for the Pozzo family and Udinese as a club, but my future is at Siena,” he told TMW.
“I feel really happy here, I settled into the place well and it is my desire to remain with this team.”
D’Agostino, 30, joined the Bianconeri on loan after spending the 2010-11 campaign with Tuscan rivals Fiorentina.
“I did well this season even if I didn’t play that much,” the former Roma and Bari playmaker continued. “I’m nevertheless happy that I contributed to Siena’s survival.
“We knew that it would be tough from the very start, but we achieved our objective thanks to a united squad.
“It was a positive experience for me and I was part of what was perhaps the best changing room environment I have ever encountered.”
D’Agostino scored four goals in 26 games, across Serie A and the Coppa Italia, for Siena.
