Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has underlined that he has received no offers for Stevan Jovetic.
The Montenegro international’s future is in some doubt, even though he only signed a new contract with the club until 2016 last October.
“Our desire is to keep Jovetic here,” Prade stated on Monday during the presentation of new boss Vincenzo Montella.
“Obviously, the player will now have to tell us whether he wants to stay or go. Nevertheless, he has a long contract and we want to start again with him in the team.
“We have received no offer for any player and that includes Jovetic. The transfer market is open until August 31 and we don’t want to make any mistakes.”
The forward has been linked with Napoli and Juventus in Italy, while clubs in Spain and England have also been paired with his signature.
