Big-spending Malaga could be willing to inherit Mathieu Flamini if his wage demands prevent an extension to his current contract with Milan.
The Frenchman has infamously been the Rossoneri’s second highest earner – behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic – since his 2008 arrival despite his bit-part role in the team.
Malaga, backed by their oil-rich owners, could offer Flamini an equally lucrative contract when his current deal with Milan expires this summer.
Although a contract with a significantly reduced wage has already been offered by Milan, Flamini could leave as a free agent to join the La Liga club.
