Novara midfielder Marco Rigoni has welcomed transfer interest in his services from Serie A outfit Palermo.
Rigoni has been linked with Milan and Genoa following his club’s relegation this term, but the Rosanero have now joined the queue of admirers.
“To see my name linked with that of Palermo undoubtedly makes me happy,” he told calciomercato.it. “That Sicilian club is a really important one and they have some great fans.
“Up until this point, I haven’t been told anything by my club or my agent, but I am certainly very proud to be of interest to Palermo.”
The Italian was one of the few positives on Novara’s return to top-flight football as they were quickly relegated back to the second tier.
The 32-year-old scored an impressive 11 goals in 35 games for the Stadio Silvio Piola minnows. The former Juventus youth player will cost in the region of €2m.
