President Silvio Berlusconi has told the official Milan website that “Thiago Silva is staying” despite the €47m offer from PSG.

The club has been in negotiations with Paris Saint-German director of sport Leonardo for several days with reports the deal had been done.

However, Vice-President Adriano Galliani returned to Italy and said the final decision now rested with President Berlusconi, who wanted to “resist” the temptation to sell.

This evening the official Rossoneri website published a statement that simply read "President Berlusconi has decided: Thiago Silva is staying at Milan."

Paris Saint-Germain also released their own statement confirming they were "pulling out of negotiations to sign Thiago Silva."
