Sampdoria stalwart Angelo Palombo could be set for a surprise move to Dubai, report Sky Sport Italia.
The veteran midfielder is no longer guaranteed a spot in the newly promoted club’s team so could take up an attractive offer from an un-named outfit in the Middle Eastern state.
The 30-year-old played half of last season in Serie B with Sampdoria following their relegation, but he joined Inter on loan in January.
That transfer never worked out, with Palombo restricted to just a handful of appearances and Inter have no intention of making his loan deal permanent.
Palombo has spent his entire career in Italy, with Fiorentina before Sampdoria, but could now take up an unexpected new challenge abroad.
