Roma’s on-loan Simon Kjaer has opened the door to staying permanently with the capital club, although he concedes his wishes might not be met.
Kjaer’s parent club Wolfsburg are coached by Felix Magath and the pair’s personal issues are well documented – both men have vowed never to work with the other again.
While it seems certain that Wolfsburg will sell him upon his return to Germany, it remains to be seen whether Roma are willing to enter negotiations.
“I want to remain in red and yellow,” the 23-year-old stated. “But it does not only depend on me.”
Kjaer was bought by Wolfsburg for €12m in 2010 and although his uneasy relationship with Magath should lower his value, Roma might struggle to meet the Germans’ demands.
