Fiorentina have not made a bid for Alessandro Matri, but the player is set to have talks with Juventus about his future.

The striker signed a new contract in Turin until 2017 in April, however, he has been linked with a summer exit.

“He is going through a delicate time,” the forward’s agent, Tulio Tinti, told Calcio Sport 24. “We would like to talk to the club and the Coach before we evaluate the situation.

“Fiorentina? We haven’t had any contact with them or other clubs – we want to speak with Juventus first.”

The 27-year-old was Juventus’ top scorer in Serie A this term with 10 goals, but he lost his place in the starting XI towards the end of the campaign.

Juventus are known to be targeting a top centre-forward this summer on the market in a bid to challenge for the Champions League next season.

The former Cagliari man, signed by Juve in January 2011, has also been paired with a number of clubs in Russia.
