Milan have officially confirmed medicals for Chievo defender Francesco Acerbi and Genoa midfielder Kevin Constant. “I’m so happy.”

There had been reports circulating that the Rossoneri were looking for a double deal and this evening the club website announced the news.

“This afternoon Francesco Acerbi was in the Milan headquarters in via Turati 3, in the centre of the city,” read a statement.

“Over the next few days both he and Kevin Constant will undergo medicals.

“Mattia Valoti will remain at Milan after the co-ownership deal with Albinoleffe was renewed, while Palermo have signed Matteo Darmian outright.”

Acerbi spent last season at Chievo, although he was co-owned by Genoa and was bought outright by the Grifone in order to pass him over to Milan on a five-year contract.

Constant is a 25-year-old former Chievo midfielder who joined Genoa last summer.

“I am very happy,” 23-year-old Acerbi told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “What will it be like to play alongside Thiago Silva? I’ll tell you when I’ve experienced it.

“I will do everything I can to earn my place in the side, then the Coach will be the one to make the decision.”
