Genoa have confirmed they are in talks with Roma, Inter and Juventus for Mattia Destro, “but he turned down offers from abroad.”

The striker is currently co-owned with Siena, but the Rossoblu look set to take full ownership this week and therefore plan his future move.

“We are discussing the matter with Roma, just as with Inter and Juventus,” Genoa general manager Pietro Lo Monaco told Radio Radio TV.

“Destro is an appetising prospect for all three clubs, but there are proposals of a certain type that at the moment are not suited to the value of the player.

“Siena have the option to buy 50 per cent of his contract, but there is an agreement between the clubs that we hope to make official later today so that Genoa can own him outright.

“There is a basic deal in place and once the player is to all intents and purposes ours then we’ll see what offers come in.

“Destro has already turned down offers from abroad because he wants to stay in Italy. In fact, I wouldn’t rule out the possibility he could remain at Genoa.”
