Palermo have confirmed they will not be keeping Emiliano Viviano next season, as he could instead “go to Fiorentina, Torino or back to Inter.”
The goalkeeper is co-owned by Inter and Palermo, spending the last six months in Sicily getting back into shape after knee surgery.
“There are many options for Viviano,” President Maurizio Zamparini told StadioNews.
“We can renew the co-ownership agreement, he can go back to Inter, or we can sign him outright and then send him to Fiorentina or Torino.
“We’ll see what happens, but we are focusing on Samir Ujkani.”
Palermo brought back goalkeeper Ujkani from his loan spell at Novara and seem prepared to make him their first choice next season.
As for Viviano, the most likely option is Fiorentina, especially as he is from Tuscany and a huge supporter of the club.
The Italian international even went so far as to name his daughter Viola and has a tattoo of the Fiorentina symbol.
