Former Brazilian international Cicinho has joined Sport Club do Recife after his contract at Roma expired.
The right-back has signed a one-year deal with the outfit which is based in the north-east of his homeland. He will be presented to the media later today.
The 31-year-old had a tough spell at Roma following his 2007 switch from Real Madrid and he recently revealed some of his off-field problems.
Signed for around €10m by the Italian capital side, the former Botafogo player struggled to hold down a first-team shirt and was loaned to Sao Paulo and Villarreal.
