Around 2,200 Italy fans are expected in the Olympic Stadium in Kiev, though there are a predicted 10,000 England supporters.
The figure of 2,200 is an improvement on expectations in the Azzurri camp, as until yesterday morning only around 1,000 tickets had been sold from Italy’s allocation.
They will still be vastly out-numbered by English fans, as around 10,000 are thought to have tickets for tonight’s Euro 2012 quarter-final.
It is possible even more are in the city hoping to get a last-minute entry.
The Italy side hope neutrals in Kiev will be cheering them on this evening, as England knocked Ukraine out of the group phase with a controversially disallowed potential equaliser.
