Reports are gathering pace that Alessandro Nesta could return to Milan after his American dream vanished.
The veteran stopper quit the Diavolo earlier this summer after revealing that he would not renew his contract which expires at the end of this month.
The 36-year-old announced his desire to play in a less competitive championship and was linked with New York Red Bulls.
Nevertheless, the Corriere dello Sport is suggesting that the Rossoneri could again offer him a 12-month deal which he rejected earlier this year.
The paper suggests that Milan would only be wanting the former Lazio player to appear in 20-25 games in 2012-13.
Nesta featured in 27 matches across all competitions for Massimiliano Allegri’s outfit during the past term.
