Fabio Borini has snubbed transfer interest in his services from Liverpool. “I am a Roma player,” he insisted.
The Premiership club are keen on the forward given that new boss Brendan Rodgers worked with him during a spell at Swansea.
Liverpool made some enquiries last week, but could do nothing until his co-ownership status was resolved.
“I am a Roma player,” the Italian international, part of the Azzurri’s Euro 2012 squad, told The Sun newspaper when asked about a possible move to Anfield.
“It’s not my business that there is talk about whether I go to Liverpool or stay. It doesn’t matter to me, I am Roma.”
