Roma are keen on Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna, but the club have yet to make an offer for his services.
“It is true that Roma are interested in Ogbonna,” representative Giovanni Branchini told Roma News. “There hasn’t been an offer for now, but, I underline, Roma like the player.”
The centre-back, part of the Azzurri squad at Euro 2012, has also been linked with big clubs such as Milan and Juventus in Italy, as well as a number of foreign sides.
Ogbonna is a centre-back who celebrated his 24th birthday in May and recently extended his contract until June 2016.
Torino chief Urbano Cairo insisted this month that Ogbonna would not be sold unless they received an offer which they couldn’t refuse.
“I’m very attached to Ogbonna,” Cairo stated. “A lot of teams have been in touch, but he’ll stay with Toro. We won’t sell him unless we receive a crazy proposal.”
