The young Spaniard is back with the Rossoneri this summer after a 12-month loan spell at former club Espanyol, who the Italians originally bought the player from in January 2011.

After impressing last term in Spain’s Primera Division, the former Under-21 international is again attracting interested, but in reiterating a point made by Adriano Galliani, the player’s agent has confirmed that he will only be sold if a suitable offer comes in, otherwise he will be with the San Siro side for 2012-13.

“What is certain is that at this time the loan with Espanyol has ended and he is back at the club, but we will see if he will remain there,” commented Raul Verdu to milannews.it on Friday.

“Benfica and Valencia are certainly interested in him, but they are not the only ones. There are several teams looking at the boy.

“There are two options – either he will remain with Milan, or will be sold outright. He wants to return to Milan and to stay there.

“But, all doors are open, so for now we know that he will return to Milan, but that if an offer of interest came in, then it would be considered.

“I have spoken with the club and they have given me the green light to return the player to them, whilst if there is someone ready to make a offer that presents a win-win situation, then we’ll see.”
