Former England manager Fabio Capello is reportedly in negotiations to take over as Coach of Russia.
The tactician resigned from the England job just two months before the start of Euro 2012 due to a dispute with the FA over John Terry’s captaincy.
According to news agency Interfax, Capello is in talks with the Russian Federation to become their new Coach.
Russia had a blazing start to Euro 2012 only to then suffer a shock exit in the first round with their defeat to Greece.
Manager Dick Advocaat is likely to leave in order to make a return to PSV Eindhoven this summer.
Russian media are confident Capello is top of the wish-list, perhaps inspired by Luciano Spalletti’s success on the Zenit bench.
