The Nerazzurri have also offered the Argentine a four-year deal worth a basic salary of €2m. That would rise if certain bonus clauses are activated.

However, speaking with Sky Sport Italia, Inter technical director Marco Branca has underlined that nothing has been finalised.

“There have been no forward or backward steps,” Branca stated. “We are at that classic stage of the transfer market where everyone talks a bit with everyone else…”
