Lazio’s Balzaretti bid turned down

Lazio persist with interest in Italy and Palermo full-back Federico Balzaretti and this week reportedly offered Sergio Floccari in exchange.

Balzaretti’s contract with the Rosanero expires in a year, with speculation rife that he will leave this summer as talks over a renewal haven’t progressed.

The player has suggested this week that the only possible move away would be to Paris Saint-Germain, but it hasn’t stopped Lazio apparently making a move for his services.

However, the Corriere dello Sport understand that their bid of an exchange with the Rosanero that would see striker Floccari move in the opposite direction was immediately turned down by the Sicilians.
