Highly-rated centre-back Angelo Ogbonna’s future is with Torino, declares his President Urbano Cairo today.
Ogbonna, who was part of Italy’s Euro 2012 squad this summer, is highly regarded in the Italian game as one of its brightest defensive hopes for the future.
Linked with a number of different clubs, Torino’s owner Cairo has come out to make clear his situation in the market.
“Ogbonna is staying with Torino. That is final,” he declared to Tuttosport on Thursday.
“The perfect words to describe Ogbonna would be: not for sale. We have just renewed his contract. I know that so many are interested in him, we especially value him.
“We need him too and the beauty is that Angelo is motivated and intending to have another great season with us.”
