Sampdoria have joined Torino in the chase to sign available Catania striker Maxi Lopez, writes the Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Argentine is on the market after Milan, who netted him on loan in the second half of 2011-12, opted against signing him outright.
Torino held exploratory talks with his agent earlier this week and Sampdoria, who like Toro are back in the top flight, are also keen.
Samp, linked with Inter forward Giampaolo Pazzini, are apparently ready to offer €6m for the former River Plate and Barcelona player.
