Roma youngster Andrea Bertolacci is being strongly linked with a possible move to Serie A rivals Genoa.
The port club reportedly asked for the 21-year-old during negotiations that will see Panagiotis Tachtsidis switch to the capital.
Rossoblu boss Gigi De Canio is believed to have given the proposed swoop the green light given his knowledge of the youngster.
De Canio bossed the Under-21 international during the 2010-11 top-flight campaign at Lecce, where the player has spent the last two seasons on loan.
Tachtsidis will move to the Stadio Olimpico on a co-ownership basis, while it is unclear in what form Bertolacci’s transfer will take.
