The Dutchman announced last week that he would not be signing a new contract with The Gunners, having failed to have been convinced by manager Arsene Wenger and chief executive Ivan Gazidis of the direction the club are headed in.

With his current deal set to expire in June 2013, rumours and expectation have grown that he will be sold this summer, with Manchester City thought to be in prime competition with Juventus for his signature.

However, a number of outlets are reporting that a resolution at Arsenal might be reached with the striker, as he has interrupted a holiday to fly back to London to again meet with Wenger and Gazidis. It is understood that this meeting will be held without agent Kees Vos.

Juventus are said to be lining up a move for Fiorentina’s Stevan Jovetic, if they miss out on Van Persie.
