The goalkeeper was expected to wrap up a loan deal with his hometown club in the next couple of days, but it seems the temporary transfer is proving fairly difficult to complete.

The 26-year-old Florence native is currently co-owned by Inter and Palermo, but neither club can guarantee him first-team action next season so are willing to lend him to Fiorentina.
