Genoa's Alberto Gilardino doesn’t seem to be thinking about a summer move after admitting that he has his eyes on Bosko Jankovic’s No 11 shirt.

The striker has been linked with an exit after a problematic first six months at Marassi following his January transfer from Fiorentina” data-scaytid=”5″>Fiorentina.

“I wore the No 82 last season, but that was because when I arrived all that was free was the year of my birth,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“I’ve always worn the No 11, but that, for the time being, belongs to Jankovic. We’ll see what happens between now and August 31…”

Genoa had a nightmare past campaign and they were still fighting for Serie A survival on the last day of the season.

“The objective now is to start the campaign well,” the Italian added. “There are two months to prepare well and I personally have a five-year contract here.

“I hope to have the faith of my club and I’ll do my best to pay them back for that.”
