Fabio Capello has this afternoon finished holding talks with the Russian Football Union over the vacant position as head Coach of the national team.
Minister of Sport Vitali Mutko confirmed to reporters that talks with the Italian veteran have been concluded for today, after the former England boss flew in this morning.
Mutko has also suggested that by next Tuesday all other candidates for the position will have been interviewed and that by July 22 a final decision will have been announced.
The new Coach, who could be anyone from a long list offered this week, is set for a €7.5m-a-year contract to take charge of the national team up to and including involvement in the 2018 World Cup, which they are hosting.
