Iceland international Birkir Bjarnason will play for Pescara in 2012-13, Standard Liege have confirmed.

The Belgian club have noted on their official website that the 24-year-old will spend the campaign on loan at the Stadio Adriatico.

The central midfielder has also played for Viking and Bodo/Glimt during his career.
