Paris Saint-Germain could finalise their purchase of Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Milan by Monday, but reports continue to conflict.
The Ligue 1 outfit have been holding talks with Ibrahimovic’s agent for the past two days to ratify contractual terms with the striker as part of an otherwise agreed deal to sign him and defender Silva from the Rossoneri.
It is generally believed that only minor details are preventing the Parisians from bringing in the pair for a reported €62m, with it understood that Ibrahimovic has agreed to a €13m-a-season contract for a period of three years.
This would mark a compromise between his reported demands of €14m a year and the club’s original €9m-a-season proposal for four years.
However, reports as to when the deal will be finalised are conflicting. Where some suggest that the Swede is in Paris tonight to undergo a medical and put pen to paper on his contract, others suggest that he is not in France and that the transfer will only be concluded after the weekend.
Further reports even suggest that Ibra’s agent is asking for a third meeting with sporting director Leonardo tomorrow for further financial gain.
