Former Juventus winger Marcelo Estigarribia looks to be headed to River Plate in South America, according to his agent Giuseppe Addamiano.
The Paraguayan played for Antonio Conte’s side last season on loan from Deportivo Maldonado but will not be signed by the current Scudetto holders.
“Yes, I can confirm it,” Calciomercato.com quoted Addamiano. “We’re working on the details and the player is ready to sign a multi-year deal.
“We’re talking about a champion of Italy, young, only 25-years-old, in which River is ready to invest - they obviously appreciate him.
“River wants to be reborn focusing on reliable players like Marcelo. Their interest is an important message for the boy who gave his all in Turin, always improving.
“I can only say that Juventus was an experience that was more than appreciated and that Marco has left his heart in Turin despite only one season there and the small contribution he gave.”
Estigarribia managed 14 appearances for Juventus in all competitions last term, scoring just once against Napoli.
