PSG are continuing to raid Serie A after initially signing Pastore from Palermo last summer for over €40m.

They’ve brought in Ezequiel Lavezzi from Napoli and Thiago Silva from Milan this summer, while they are close to Diavolo striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Pescara youngster Marco Verratti.

“Thiago Silva is an important signing for us,” the Argentine playmaker noted in an interview with Sky Sport Italia.

“He’ll be a massive help in defence and he’ll be key for a team that wants to grow and achieve great things.

“Meanwhile, Lavezzi will integrate perfectly with us and he is someone that is able to make the difference.

“It’s the same for Ibra. His arrival would be important. We already have a beautiful squad, but we’ll be even happier if he arrives as well.

“We don’t want to immediately be knocked out of the Champions League in the new season – we want to get as far as possible in that competition.”
