Marco Verratti is not included in the negotiations that are taking Milan’s Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Paris-Saint Germain, his agent has insisted.
The Pescara midfielder is also expected to sign for PSG but the French club have prioritised the Milan duo, leading to suggestions that Verratti may not go to Paris at all.
Reports emerged yesterday that PSG would complete the signing of Verratti, but immediately loan him to Milan as part exchange in the on-going Ibrahimovic transfer.
But the 21-year-old’s agent, Donato Di Campli, has quashed these claims. “They are absolutely false. I don’t know where these rumours came from,” he said.
“If Verratti is purchased by PSG he will stay in France to play under Coach Carlo Ancelotti.”
Pescara’s prized asset has seen his move to the oil rich Parisians stall while Silva – who moved on Saturday – and Ibrahimovic switched clubs, but he is expected to eventually complete his move to Ligue 1.
