Atalanta have confirmed speculation that the club are interested in free agent Pippo Inzaghi.
“We are evaluating him,” President Antonio Percassi noted. “He may be 39, but he’s still a great footballer.
“My director general Pierpaolo Marino knows more about it than me though…”
Inzaghi, who will be 39 next month, left Milan at the end of his contract and was offered a coaching role within the club’s youth sector.
However, the 2006 World Cup winner is said to be considering an offer from the Bergamo outfit whom he represented during the 1996-97 campaign.
During 33 games that season, Super Pippo hit 24 goals which earned him a summer move to Italian giants Juventus.
