Andrea Ranocchia was surprised by Lucio’s comments during his presentation as a Juventus player. “He hardly said a thing at Inter.”
The 34-year-old recently rescinded his contract with the Nerazzurri and almost immediately signed a deal with the Bianconeri.
It was a controversial move and he added fuel to the fire with a variety of comments to the Press on Sunday.
“When he was at Inter he was always a man of few words,” his former central defensive colleague noted. “Evidently he is trying to immediately adapt into his new environment…”
Lucio helped the Beneamata win the Treble under boss Jose Mourinho, but Ranocchia has urged fans to look ahead.
“Lucio is now part of the past,” the Italian added. “He’s now at Juventus and we’ll say hello to him as a rival when we first face each other.”
That could happen on Saturday night when Juventus, Milan and Inter meet in the Trofeo TIM at Bari.
