Palermo have revealed why Emiliano Viviano’s proposed move to Fiorentina is taking some time to complete.

The goalkeeper is co-owned by the Rosanero and Inter, but the Viola want him on loan for the 2012-13 campaign.

Palermo have agreed to the switch, but the Nerazzurri are refusing to give the green light at this stage.

“Everything is OK as far as we are concerned,” Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini commented. “The problem is that Inter want a fee, while Fiorentina want him for free.

“The uneasy relationship between the two clubs is probably not helping matters. I’ll phone Inter President Massimo Moratti about it.

“Am I optimistic? Why wouldn’t I be? After all, the player has made it clear that he wants to join Fiorentina.”

The goalkeeper, who grew up in the Viola youth ranks, is a massive Fiorentina fan.
