Siena boss Serse Cosmi has no complaints about the likelihood that star striker Mattia Destro will leave the club.

The player is co-owned with Genoa who are tipped to buy him back and then sell him on to Roma before the start of the campaign.

“Destro has done some important things,” Cosmi, who replaces Giuseppe Sannino in Tuscany, told the Corriere dello Sport.

“I can only speak well of him,” the former Lecce tactician added. “He is a complete attacker and he has football inside of him.

“We all know that Destro is destined to play on the big stages, but I don’t know where that will be.

“Anyhow, Mattia is fortunate as I’ve already told him that if the worst happens then he will still be coached by me…”

The Under-21 international, who made Italy’s preliminary 32-man squad for Euro 2012, scored 12 goals in Serie A last term.
