Arriving to meet with his players and staff this evening, Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has outlined the 2012-13 season objectives.

The Vesuviani have so far lost Ezequiel Lavezzi to Paris Saint-Germain, but confirmed Goran Pandev, called back Lorenzo Insigne and brought in Valon Behrami and Alessandro Gamberini.

These preparations, combined with the club’s Coppa Italia success last term, has De Laurentiis highly charged for the upcoming campaign.

“I’m strongly motivated for the new season, the Scudetto should be everyone’s goal,” declared the President to reporters as he arrived at Napoli’s Dimaro pre-season camp.

“We will also be one of the two teams to qualify automatically for the Champions League, and we will do well in the Coppa Italia and Europa League.”

The movie producer also explained the thinking behind the recent double signing of Behrami and Gamberini from Fiorentina.

“They are two gifts for [Coach Walter] Mazzarri, with Financial Fair Play in mind.”
