Genoa have officially captured Andrea Bertolacci from Roma this afternoon, paving the way for Panagiotis Tachtsidis to move in the other direction.
A deal to exchange the two 21-year-old midfielders has been agreed in principle for a few weeks, but delayed by finer points. However, Bertolacci’s move north has now been finalised and Tachtsidis’ switch in the other direction is expected to be confirmed very soon.
Tachtsidis [pictured] has been specifically requested by new Roma boss Zdenek Zeman this summer, after the veteran encountered the versatile Greek whilst both men were in Serie B last term, Zeman coaching Pescara and Tachtsidis on loan at Hellas Verona.
Bertolacci’s move to Marassi has been confirmed as on a co-ownership basis, with a fee remaining undisclosed and Tachtsidis is expected to transfer on the same terms.
