It’s reported Novara star Marco Rigoni will undergo his medical and sign for Chievo on Monday.
The creative midfielder was one of the surprise packages in Serie A last season and many called for his inclusion in the Euro 2012 squad.
He had been close to joining Sampdoria, but Sky Sport Italia claim a deal has now been struck with Chievo.
Rigoni is set to undergo his medical and put pen to paper on a three-year contract tomorrow.
The 32-year-old was a Juventus youth product, but only ever managed one appearance for the senior squad.
He also played for Ravenna, Cittadella, Triestina, Ternana and Pescara before joining Novara in 2009.
Rigoni was a key figure in Novara’s back-to-back promotions from Serie C1 into Serie A.
