Juventus have manoeuvred themselves into a position to sign Andrea Poli from Sampdoria, Sky Sport Italia are reporting.
Poli has been made available for a transfer after his expected permanent switch to Inter collapsed because of his asking price.
Although Napoli have shown a concrete interest in his services, Poli is apparently close to joining the Turin giants.
Juve are said to be ready to offer €5m cash and a half-share in young Dutch midfielder Ouasim Bouy, a 19-year-old signed from Ajax in January.
However, even if Poli was to be signed, a 50 per cent share of his contract could then be offered to Fiorentina as part of a bid for Stevan Jovetic.
The midfielder, who will be 23 in September, spent the 2011-12 season on loan at Inter where he played in 18 League games.
Juventus director general Beppe Marotta and assistant Fabio Paratici were responsible for his move from Treviso to Sampdoria in 2007.
